Carefully comb through the cat s hair and pay attention to the hair around the cat s head and his belly. These are the ideal places for fleas to hide including the ears, eyes and the nose. 

Your cat won t come running when you are home at the end of day and knock you over. They also don t lick or bite so you won t have to worry about how they will interact with others when you have company. Cats always seem to be able to tell when you need some comfort. Taking care of a pet can help a child to become more responsible but some pets just come with too much time required. 

Brushing Depending on the breed, your cat can either have long or short hair. Make sure that you brush your cat s coat well enough to promote proper grooming. - For cats with short hair, use a brush with soft bristles so that the skin will not be scratched or hurt in the grooming process. Use soft, gentle strokes while brushing. 

Then they have the option of deciding whether or not to allow the kitten to be bred. Only cats with a pin number on their registration forms will be eligible to have their kittens registered. This allows the breeders to continue to better their breeds. Once the litter is registered, each kitten will need to be individually registered by its new owner. 

You can use tit-bits to entice the cat to go through the flap, when it is fully open. Start by opening the flap fully, just showing the tit-bit, then next time close the flap a little bit and keep on doing so until the cat realises that the flap will open with a small push of the head. Cats like to sharpen their claws on most household furniture!

Choose a time when your home is not too busy and you will have time to devote to your new kitty and your existing cat, avoid holidays, for example, or other times when friends and family are likely to visit.
